American Red Cross Babysitter Training Class

Babysitter's Training and Babysitter's Training with First Aid/CPR/AED provide participants aged 11 to 16 years the knowledge and skills they need to safely and responsibly care for children and infants.

These courses are a mix of lecture, video, in-class activity, group discussion, skill practice and skill assessment to help participants build their knowledge and develop hands-on skills.

To successfully complete Babysitter's Training or Babysitter's Training with First Aid/CPR/AED participants must:

1. Attend the full in-person session.

2. Actively participate in all activities.

3. Demonstrate competency in all required skills.

4. Pass all required assessment scenarios as outlined in the relevant First Aid/CPR/AED lesson plan.

 ~ Students will receive both an American Red Cross Babysitter Certificate (valid for 10 years) and an American Red Cross Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid Certificate (valid for 2 years) upon completion of the Babysitter Training Class.

~ A 30 minute lunch break will be allotted. Unsupervised children will not be permitted to leave the building without parental consent prior to the start of class.

~ Snacks and packed lunch are permitted and encouraged for class.

~ This is a fun, hands-on and interactive class!

~ Parent/guardians will receive a confirmation email upon registration with additional information and details for the class.

* Judicial garage across 12th St from Seacoast Bank. Parking is charged at $0.25 per half hour.

* Street parking (please be mindful of time limitations on street parking during business hours).
